Liverpool have reportedly won the race to sign teenager Tony Gallacher from Falkirk.
Since making his first-team debut for the Scottish side when he was just 16, Gallacher has attracted attention from a number of clubs south of the border.
Manchester United and Stoke City have allegedly shown interest in the past but according to the Liverpool Echo, the Merseyside giants have all but sealed a deal for his signature.
Liverpool are said to have paid Falkirk a fee of £200,000 for the defender, who is expected to spend time in the Under-23 squad before being considered for first-team selection.
Gallacher - who does not turn 19 until July - has made 11 appearances in the Scottish Championship this season.
