Liverpool reportedly remain in talks with Southampton over the potential capture of midfielder Adam Lallana.
The Saints captain has been linked with a move away from St Mary's following an impressive season, which has earned him a place in England's World Cup squad in Brazil.
The Merseyside outfit are said to have lodged a £20m offer for Lallana, who is widely believed to be interested in moving to Anfield.
According to the Liverpool Echo, talks are ongoing between the two clubs, but Southampton are still holding out for a bid closer to £25m.
Liverpool are reportedly keen to finalise the deal before the start of the World Cup next month.
