Dejan Lovren is reportedly facing an uncertain future at Liverpool, only months after moving to Anfield.
The Croatian international has failed to cement a regular place in the Reds' starting lineup, despite the club forking out £20m for him during the summer.
According to The Mirror, Lovren is not inspiring confidence in his teammates and some of the squad are said to view the former Southampton man as a weak link.
The 25-year-old could lose his place to Kolo Toure when Liverpool travel to face Manchester United on Sunday.
However, it is thought that Lovren is privately adamant that the Reds' midfield needs to offer greater protection to the back four.
Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League, 15 points behind leaders Chelsea.
