Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt as a potential signing.
Brandt has spent the start of his professional career with Leverkusen, but the 22-year-old is eventually expected to make the switch to a bigger club.
Liverpool have been linked with an approach for the Germany international, but according to Don Balon, both Real and Atletico are considering a bid in the summer.
Zinedine Zidane is likely to be handed the funds to make mass changes to Real's first-team squad ahead of the next campaign after replacing Santiago Solari earlier this month.
Atletico currently sit in second place in the La Liga standings, but Diego Simeone's side have scored just 39 goals from their 28 matches.
Brandt has just over two years remaining on his deal, but it has previously been suggested that the wideman has an exit clause in his deal.
