Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that the club is financially strong enough not to sell goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi to Liverpool.
The 30-year-old Omani has been linked with a move to Anfield in the past week as a possible replacement for Pepe Reina.
"We're in a good moment financially. We don't have to sell players and that's a real strength of ours," Martinez told reporters.
"It's a really nice compliment for Ali and he's been outstanding since coming to the football club.
"We have a few players who are reaching a very good level of form and I'm not against having a lot of good football compliments."
Al-Habsi has played in all 10 of the Latics' Premier League matches this season.
