Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has admitted that he is unhappy serving as backup to Loris Karius.
The Belgian, who lost his place in the Reds first team at Christmas, said that he can "absolutely not" continue on the substitutes' bench.
"Absolutely not, this is really nothing for me, it has already been too long," Mignolet told HLN when asked whether he is happy in a backup role.
"I'm much more nervous on the bench than on the pitch, I want to be able to contribute something."
Mignolet, however, hinted that he would rather fight for first-team football at Anfield than force a move elsewhere.
"I still have a contract for three seasons and I am not busy with what is going to happen this summer, I work for the team and the World Cup, the rest is for club people and agents," he added.
Liverpool are in Champions League action this evening when they play host to Roma in the first leg of their semi-final.
