Former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly involved in a three-way battle for his signature.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently a free agent after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season following the expiry of his contract.

The former England international spent six years with the Reds, registering 18 goals and 15 assists in 146 competitive appearances.

With the 29-year-old now on the lookout for a new club, there is believed to be a number of sides that are looking to secure his services.

According to The Mirror, a three-way battle has ensued for Oxlade-Chamberlain, involving the Saudi Pro League, Besiktas and Brentford.

While a specific club has not been named, Oxlade-Chamberlain is believed to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Pro League have already recruited a number of players from the Premier League this summer, including Kalidou Koulibaly, N'Golo Kante and Ruben Neves.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's former Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are also believed to be close to making the switch to Saudi Arabia.

The report claims that Besiktas are determined to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain and are prepared to make him their highest-paid player.

After finishing in third place last term, Besiktas are seemingly keen to build a side that can compete with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce for the Turkish Super Lig title.

They would be able to offer Oxlade-Chamberlain some form of European football, with the Turkish giants set to compete in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.

Brentford, meanwhile, are looking to build upon last season's ninth-placed finish, and Oxlade-Chamberlain would undoubtedly add quality to Thomas Frank's side.

The Bees are willing to offer the midfielder a one-year deal to continue his career in the top flight of English football.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is hoping to continue playing at the top level, and will now consider his options before making a final decision.
