Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is reportedly not currently interested in signing a new deal at Anfield.

The 27-year-old has made 116 appearances for the Reds since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg in 2018, including 40 outings during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing four goals and three assists in the process.

Keita only has 12 months left to run on his contract with Liverpool, though, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future over the last few weeks.

According to Libero, Jurgen Klopp's side are keen to sign the midfielder to a new contract, but he is not currently interested in committing his future to the club.

The report claims that Juventus are keen on signing Keita this summer and could offer Adrien Rabiot to the Merseyside giants in exchange.

Keita made 23 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last season, contributing three goals and one assist in the process.

Meanwhile, he also played on 10 occasions in the Champions League, providing one goal and two assists, including a cameo role in the final of the competition against Real Madrid.

Keita was also a regular in the latter stages of the 2021-22 Premier League season, but he is not certain of a starting role at the club, which has allegedly led to frustration.

Liverpool are wary of losing the Guinea international on a free transfer next summer and are therefore open to letting him leave for the right price during the current market.

Rabiot, meanwhile, has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Manchester United, Newcastle United and Chelsea all thought to be admirers.

The midfielder was an important player for Juventus during the 2021-22 campaign, making 45 appearances in all competitions, contributing two assists in the process.

Meanwhile, the France international has scored six times and registered six assists in 129 outings for the Old Lady since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019.

Liverpool are currently preparing for the start of their pre-season schedule, with the Reds kicking off their campaign against bitter rivals Manchester United on July 12.

Klopp's side will also face Crystal Palace, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg in pre-season before tackling Premier League champions Manchester City in the Community Shield on July 30.

Liverpool will then begin their 2022-23 Premier League campaign away to Fulham on August 6 before hosting Crystal Palace in their second fixture one week later. body check tags ::
