Napoli want to sign Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas?

Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas is wanted by Napoli during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Napoli are reportedly considering making a move for Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas during this summer's transfer window.

The 24-year-old joined Jurgen Klopp's side from Olympiacos last August but has only made six appearances for the Reds, with only one of those coming in the Premier League.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli were keen to sign the Greece international last summer and remain in the market for a left-back.

The report claims that Tsimikas still 'appeals' to the Italian side, who are of the opinion that the defender's struggles at Liverpool means that he could be available ahead of next season.

The Greek, who has a contract at Anfield until the summer of 2025, has struggled with thigh and knee injuries during the 2020-21 campaign.

Tsimikas has been on the bench for Liverpool's last two Premier League matches, though, and played the final minute of the second leg of the team's last-16 Champions League clash with RB Leipzig on March 10. body check tags ::
