Newcastle United have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Basel midfielder Mohamed Salah.
The 21-year-old Egyptian international has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool.
Basel want around £12m for the youngster, according to Sky Sports News.
Salah joined the Swiss club from Egyptian side El Mokawloon in 2010.
