Queens Park Rangers vice-chairman Amit Bhatia has revealed that Craig Bellamy is one of their transfer targets.
The Welshman, who played under Hoops boss Mark Hughes at Blackburn Rovers, has remained quiet on his future of late.
Meanwhile, new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed his willingness to keep the 33-year-old at Anfield.
However, it appears as though Rangers are prepared to make an offer for his services.
"Mark [Hughes] likes to have a long list of players so we'll see what happens," Bhatia told Sky Sports News. "We've been a fan of Craig Bellamy for the last few years.
"His is definitely a name that has been mentioned but he's not the only name that we have discussed for that position so we have a few options.
"Mark has loads of names on his list and many of the players we want are wanted by other clubs. Whoever Mark settles on, we will do our best to support him."
Bellamy, who is currently on duty with Team GB ahead of the Olympics, has also been linked with a move to former club Cardiff City.
