Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic has said that he will wait to see who the club brings in to replace Jesus Navas and Andres Palop before deciding on his own future.
The Croatian international is reportedly wanted by Liverpool, but he said that he trusts coach Unai Emery to get things right at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
"I am motivated and happy at the club, despite the situation not looking very good," talkSPORT quotes the 25-year-old as saying. "The club has asked me to stay and they want to build with me a new team.
"First, as I have said, I want to see what reinforcements they bring in. We have a quality team that can do better than this season. There is a grain of possibility that we can play in the Europa League.
"We are not at our strongest right now because two pillars of the team, Andres Palop and Jesus Navas, have left us, they had been important at the club for years. We must find replacements for them. I believe in the coach, who says he has a few ideas."
Rakitic scored eight goals in La Liga last season.
