Jordan Henderson has reportedly indicated to Liverpool that he will agree to a contract extension in the near future.
The England midfielder has played a key role this season under Brendan Rodgers, who is keen to make sure that he commits his future to the club ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
According to The Mirror, the contract on the table would tie Henderson, who joined from Sunderland in 2011, to the club for the next four years.
Henderson has been out of action due to suspension recently, but he will return against Newcastle United in the final game of the season on Sunday.
Liverpool head into the final game two points behind leaders Manchester City.
