Real Madrid have reportedly turned down an approach from Liverpool to loan 17-year-old midfielder Martin Odegaard.
The Norway international became one of the most high-profile teenage footballers in the world when he joined Real from Stromsgodset in January 2015 and he made his first-team debut for the capital side at the end of last season.
Odegaard, who currently represents Real Madrid Castilla, has not been involved with the first team this season, however, and it has been suggested that a number of clubs are interested in signing the midfielder on loan.
According to Marca, Liverpool have made an approach this month, but that was quickly rejected by the Spanish giants.
On Thursday afternoon, it was confirmed that Real Madrid would be banned from signing new players for the next two transfer windows due to a breach in relation to registering players under the age of 18.
