Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reportedly wants to add to his already impressive strike force with the January signing of giant Anzhi Makhachkala target man Lacina Traore.
The Reds' forward pairing of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were both on the scoresheet yesterday for the second game in a row to take their side back to the top of the Premier League.
Traore is apparently available for transfer in January, with Anzhi keen to continue to offload their high-profile foreign stars, as they did with now-Chelsea pair Samuel Eto'o and Willian this summer.
The Metro understands that Rodgers will return for a player that he was close to capturing last year, when the window reopens with an offer of around £7.5m.
At 6ft 7in, the 23-year-old Ivorian striker, who cost Anzhi £15m in July 2012, would add an extra dimension to a Liverpool attack that has already found the net 11 times this season.
