Newcastle United have reportedly made an approach to the representatives of Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew.
The Ghanaian is expected to leave the Ligue 1 club when his current deal expires in the summer, and he has already been linked with a number of clubs in Europe, including Inter Milan and Roma.
Liverpool, Everton and Swansea City are also believed to be interested, but The Mirror claims that Newcastle are in talks with his agent about a lucrative four-year contract.
The 25-year-old was reported to be close to a move to Queens Park Rangers before Harry Redknapp's departure earlier this year, and his preference is rumoured to be a switch to the Premier League.
