Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he is due to hold talks with Sebastian Coates over the defender's future.
The 22-year-old Uruguayan has been linked with a move away from the club after making 12 appearances in all competitions last season.
"Seb has been a great support player for the group," Rodgers is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "Obviously his chances have been very limited. That's unfortunately how it is sometimes as a defender.
"We will sit down when he comes back for pre-season and take it from there. We have to see what the summer brings."
Coates joined Liverpool on a long-term contract from Nacional in 2011.
