Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has stated his intentions to step up his summer transfer dealings after signing a new contract at Anfield on Monday.
The Reds boss put pen to paper on Monday afternoon on an extension that has been described as a "long-term" deal by the club, and after resolving his own future, the Northern Irishman is now looking towards adding to his ranks.
"Of course, at the club, where we are now, the signings are complex; they are not all simple signings," he told the club's official website.
"But we need to strengthen up the squad and that's something that we're working hard to do over the next number of weeks."
Liverpool will return to the Champions League for the first time in five years next season.
