Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly made plans to bring Divock Origi back to the club from Lille in January.
Origi completed a £12m move to Liverpool in the summer, but the Belgian striker was immediately loaned back to Lille on a season-long deal.
According to The Express, Rodgers is eager to cut the loan short as he looks to add more goals to his squad following a difficult start to the new campaign.
However, it is believed that Liverpool did not insert a recall clause into the agreement with the Ligue 1 side, and they could face a tough challenge persuading them to release the 19-year-old.
Origi has scored four goals in 11 games for Lille this season.
