Brentford manager Uwe Rosler has revealed that he does not intend on replacing midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira.
Teixeira has returned to Liverpool after failing to make an impact at Griffin Park, but Rosler has insisted that the Portuguese player was not to blame for not performing for the club.
The 44-year-old told PA: "Joao came to us at an unfortunate time. We do not have the same flow to our game as we did in pre-season or at the start of the season.
"It is difficult for a player like Joao to show us his true potential in that situation. I didn't want him to get frustrated. It is not about Joao's qualities, it is the situation.
"The player has gone back and we will concentrate on what we have. We have enough midfield players, we won't replace him."
Texieira played just 20 minutes during his time at the League One outfit.
