Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch reportedly holds an interest in signing for Liverpool.
During the last summer transfer window, Gravenberch made the decision to leave Ajax for Bayern, shunning interest from other major European clubs.
However, the 20-year-old's development has been halted at the Allianz Arena with the youngster being a constant fixture on the substitutes' bench.
As many as 21 of the Netherlands international's 24 outings in the Bundesliga and Champions League have been as a replacement, his game time totalling just 584 minutes.
Thomas Tuchel has recently taken the place of Julian Nagelsmann in the Bayern dugout, the feeling being that Gravenberch stands a better chance of being handed more opportunities.
As it stands, though, Gravenberch has received just 27 minutes under the new head coach, featuring in three of his five games in charge.
That lack of improvement has led to further speculation over his future, it having previously been claimed that Liverpool have already attempted to negotiate a deal.
According to Sky Sports News, Gravenberch has become "enthusiastic" about the prospect of signing for the Merseyside giants.
The report suggests that Gravenberch appreciates the level of interest shown in him by the Premier League outfit, both last year and in recent months.
Jurgen Klopp has publicly admitted that he will refresh his midfield ahead of 2023-24, partly down to his side's below-par effort in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, the German is forced to act with the contracts of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expiring in the summer, and James Milner's potentially following the same fate.
Liverpool had been ready to involve themselves in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham before withdrawing from that chase last week.
Klopp and the club's owners allegedly prefer to sign a number of players rather than spending in excess of £100m on the England international.
Bayern are said to be currently against selling Gravenberch, despite the planned arrival of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig. body check tags ::
