Sampdoria coach Walter Zenga has revealed that the club have no plans to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.
The Italy international is believed to be one of a number of players who Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to offload this summer.
Balotelli moved to Anfield from AC Milan in September last year for around £16m, but he failed to make an impact and spent the majority of the season on the bench or out of the squad.
Sampdoria, who have also been linked to Antonio Cassano, were rumoured to be interested in Balotelli, but Zenga quashed the rumours by telling Rai Radio 2: "Cassano and Balotelli are players of extraordinary talent, but no, we won't be signing them."
Meanwhile, Liverpool have recruited James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan and Roberto Firmino so far in this transfer window.
