Liverpool striker Danny Ings is reportedly not on the radar of Southampton this summer, despite speculation to the contrary.
The Saints were thought to be lining up a £10m bid for the 25-year-old, who has struggled to nail down a regular place in the Liverpool team since his 2015 arrival due to a mixture of form and fitness.
However, the Daily Echo claims that Southampton are not looking to bring Ings back to the south coast, where he grew up before beginning his career with Bournemouth.
Mark Hughes's side have already spent around £51m this summer, bringing in Stuart Armstrong, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Angus Gunn and Jannik Vestergaard so far.
The Saints are understood to be open to further arrivals should opportunities present themselves, but at this stage they are not thought to be in the running for Ings.
The one-time England international, who has also been linked with Crystal Palace, has scored just four goals in 25 appearances during his three years at Anfield.
