Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly offer Andros Townsend to Southampton as they bid to beat Liverpool to the signature of Adam Lallana.
New boss Mauricio Pochettino enjoyed a strong relationship with Saints captain Lallana and, according to The People, the Argentine coach is keen to secure the 26-year-old's services.
Townsend is thought to have been deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, and the 22-year-old could now be used a possible makeweight in any deal.
However, Lallana is said to favour a move to Merseyside, with Liverpool having reportedly upped their bid for the midfielder to £25m.
Meanwhile, Townsend's availability is also rumoured to be attracting interest from Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United.
