Raheem Sterling and Liverpool are reportedly no closer to reaching an agreement regarding a new contract.
The 20-year-old's representatives have been in negotiations with the Merseyside outfit for a number of months, but it is believed that differences over salary continue to be the stumbling block.
Recently, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers claimed that a conclusion is not expected to be met until the end of the season, which has prompted rumours that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich could pounce.
According to the Daily Mail, Sterling's camp and Liverpool remain 'miles apart' in terms of wages, as the England international is believed to want more than the £100,000-a-week package offered to him.
It has been reported that Sterling is currently earning £35,000 a week.
