Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has cast further doubt on his future at Anfield today, by admitting that he wants to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo before his career ends.
Suarez has been consistently linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent weeks, after telling reporters in Uruguay that he wants to leave England due to unfair treatment from the media.
With Atletico Madrid also monitoring his availability Suarez has conceded that his future remains uncertain, revealing that he would jump at the chance to form a strike partnership with Ronaldo.
He told reporters at Uruguay's latest pre-match press conference: "Of course I would like to play with Ronaldo, he is a great player.
"You never know, but it is complicated. At the moment he is in Madrid and I am in Liverpool and I do not know what is going to happen."
The 26-year-old faces a busy month of action with Uruguay before his club future can be resolved, with a World Cup qualifier tonight swiftly followed by the Confederations Cup in Brazil.
