Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has addressed speculation linking him with a potential move to Liverpool or Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old is set to depart Monaco after sporting director Paul Mitchell confirmed that Tchouameni is expected to leave this summer.
Real Madrid were believed to be close to securing a deal for the Monaco player, while Liverpool have maintained an interest in signing the Frenchman.
Following the intense transfer speculation, Tchouameni has recently addressed the rumours in an interview with French television channel Telefoot.
Tchouameni said: "I'm not troubled by that (rumours), because it's a position I've always wanted to be in. As long as I'm followed by the top clubs, that means I'm doing good things."
When asked about whether he had decided on a club, Tchouameni stated he had "not yet" made a decision on his future.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp's side have been informed that Real Madrid is Tchouameni's preferred destination, although Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in keeping the France international in Ligue 1.
Since joining Monaco in 2020, Tchouameni has scored eight goals in 95 appearances for the club. body check tags ::
