Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to outbid Liverpool for Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat.
The midfielder has impressed for Morocco during their historic run to the World Cup semi-finals, with Amrabat playing every minute of their six matches.
Morocco became the first African team to make the semi-finals in World Cup history, but were edged out 2-0 by France and now face Croatia in a third-place playoff.
In terms of the interest in Amrabat, according to Italian media outlet La Repubblica, Tottenham are prepared to pay up to £50m to secure his signature, but Fiorentina are reluctant to let him go.
The 26-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal which could mean a deal could be done swiftly, but it is likely that the Italian club will want to recoup much more than the £17m they paid for him back in 2020.
Out of his 20 appearances at club level this season, he has started 15 of them, proving to be a key player for both club and country.
Sofyan's brother Nordin Amrabat played for Watford between 2016 and 2018 and now he could follow in his brother's footsteps by moving to the Premier League. body check tags ::
