Leicester City are reportedly among the clubs keeping tabs on Liverpool youngster Ben Doak amid uncertainty over his future.

The former Celtic protege is yet to make a serious impression in the Reds' first team, although he was not helped by a serious knee injury in the 2023-24 campaign.

When fit, however, Doak has made just 10 appearances for the Merseyside giants and is yet to register a goal or assist, and his minutes will likely be restricted next term if Mohamed Salah stays on.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are now braced for offers for the 18-year-old, and newly-promoted Leicester are among the teams interested in either a loan or permanent deal this summer.

Southampton - who also made a swift return from the Championship to the Premier League - are also rumoured to be interested in Doak, who will soon sit down with Arne Slot to discuss his options.

Liverpool are unlikely to sanction a permanent exit for the attacker, who was also tipped to head back to Celtic for a brief period before the Bhoys ended their interest.

Aston Villa 'prepared to pay £60m' for Joao Felix

Speaking of attackers potentially on the move, Aston Villa have reportedly laid out their price demands to Atletico Madrid over a deal for Joao Felix.

The Portugal international's future is currently in limbo following his loan spell at Barcelona, which he was desperate to see converted into a permanent move, but such a transfer did not materialise.

Felix still has five years to run on his contract with Atletico Madrid, but owing to a breakdown in his relationship with Diego Simeone, there is no future for him at the Wanda Metropolitano.

A move to Villa has been touted, and according to 90min, Unai Emery's side would be prepared to pay between £50m and £60m to bring him to Villa Park for 2024-25.

Such a fee would represent a significant decrease on the £111m that Atletico paid Benfica for Felix's services in 2019, but Villa would also be open to a loan with an option or obligation to buy.

The Lions have just banked £50m through Moussa Diaby's sale to Al-Ittihad, and Felix is reportedly interested in joining Emery's side thanks to their qualification for the Champions League.

West Ham United 'outbid' AC Milan for Ligue 1 midfielder

Down in the English capital, West Ham United are rumoured to have approached Monaco with a satisfactory bid for midfielder Youssouf Fofana, also wanted by AC Milan.

The France international is now in the last 12 months of his contract with the Ligue 1 giants, who are expected to sell this summer in order to avoid a possible free transfer in 2025.

Despite links with Arsenal and Manchester United, Milan appeared to have positioned themselves at the head of the queue thanks to the appointment of Paulo Fonseca, whom Fofana is keen to work under.

However, L'Equipe reports that the Italian giants have only made an opening bid of €17m (£14.3m) for Fofana, which was immediately turned down by Monaco despite his contract situation.

In contrast, West Ham more than doubled Milan's bid and sent a proposal worth €35m (£29.5m), although it is unclear whether Fofana has any interest in joining the Hammers.

The 25-year-old boasts seven goals and 15 assists from 175 matches in the Monegasques shirt since joining in a €15m (£12.6m) deal from Strasbourg midway through the 2019-20 season.

Ajax among clubs interested in Barcelona veteran?

From a midfielder who could become a free agent in 2025 to one who is already on the market, ex-Barcelona stalwart Sergi Roberto is apparently attracting interest from Ajax.

The long-serving Blaugrana man ran down his previous contract with Hansi Flick's side, who were keen to keep him at Camp Nou due to his versatility and experience but ultimately could not find an agreement.

A move to the Premier League is believed to be of interest to Roberto, and there have been claims that an unnamed club from England's top flight are working on a deal for the Spaniard.

However, Fabrizio Romano claims that Dutch giants Ajax have a 'genuine interest' in signing Roberto for 2024-25, and Francesco Farioli's men have already approached the 32-year-old.

Roberto is supposedly set to assess his options in the coming days after ending a 13-year spell as a Barcelona first-team player, having previously come through their La Masia youth system.

The midfielder made 373 appearances and won 22 major honours during his spell in the Barcelona shirt, including two Champions League titles and seven La Liga crowns. body check tags ::
