The agent of former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has rubbished reports that his client has rejected a move to Liverpool.
The free agent has been out of action since March with a knee injury and was reported to be asked to undergo a four-day trial with the Reds to prove his fitness.
Reports had suggested that Valdes declined a Bosman switch to Anfield on the grounds of being offered a trial, but Gines Carvajal has denied that speculation.
"Liverpool have not offered us the chance to train with them for four days," he revealed to SPORT. "And we have not rejected the offer, because it is false.
"That proposal was never made to us by Brendan Rodgers nor by Liverpool at any moment."
The 32-year-old made over 500 appearances for Barcelona in a 12-year spell in Catalunya.
