Liverpool have reportedly agreed a new long-term contract with defender Virgil van Dijk.
Since completing a move to Anfield in January 2018, Van Dijk has established himself as one of the top centre-backs in world football, helping Liverpool to successive appearances in the Champions League final.
The Netherlands international still has another four years remaining on his existing deal, already leaving the Merseyside giants in a strong position regarding his future.
However, according to The Mirror, the European champions have handed the 28-year-old terms which will last until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The report adds that Van Dijk will also be given wages in the region of £200,000 per week, a significant rise to the income he has received since leaving Southampton.
Van Dijk has made 78 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions.
