Barcelona and Liverpool are among a host of European clubs interested in signing 17-year-old Swedish star Williot Swedberg.

The central midfielder, who plays for Allsvenskan outfit Hammarby, is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Swedish football after breaking into the first team in 2020.

According to Fichajes, Barca and Liverpool face competition from the likes of AC Milan, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Valencia for the teenager's services.

Swedberg, who spent three years of his childhood living in Valencia, was on trial with Tottenham Hotspur in 2019, however a professional contract was not offered to the midfielder.

Hammarby are understood to value Swedberg in excess of €10m (£8.6m) as he still has three years remaining on his current contract.

Swedberg has made 11 appearances in the Swedish top flight, scoring once and providing two assists, and also featured five times in this season's Europa Conference League qualifiers. body check tags ::
