Tiago Ilori has vowed that Portugal Under-21s will give their all in the European Championship final in order to secure their place in history.
The Esperancas stunned Germany in Saturday evening's final-four affair by storming to a 5-0 victory at the Estadio Nacional.
After inflicting a record competitive defeat on their opponents, Ilori and his Portugal teammates are now looking to go one better than the likes of Luis Figo and Rui Costa by winning the tournament.
"It was great," the Liverpool defender told Press Association Sport. "I couldn't have asked for better. We're going to do everything we can and of course we're confident - we've always been confident.
"But we are humble enough that every team in the group we were in was good and the other group. All the teams in the competitions are good teams, so we're going to give it our best but we're always going to respect the other team."
Portugal will face Sweden Under-21s in Tuesday evening's final.
