Newly-promoted Livorno have reportedly won the race to sign Swiss international Innocent Emeghara this afternoon, agreeing a season-loan deal with Lorient.
Emeghara has been linked with a whole host of clubs across Europe this summer, with Celtic the latest team to be mentioned as a potential destination.
The 24-year-old will spend the season on loan in Serie A after Livorno agreed to pay Lorient around £860,000 for his services, with the deal also including an option to buy next summer for £1.7m, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The Nigerian-born striker caught the eye last season in Serie A with Siena, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances after joining the club on loan in January.
Livorno manager Davide Nicola should have his new signing available for their opening league fixture this weekend, at home to Roma on Sunday evening.
