Jordan Amavi's agent has refused to be drawn on whether the OGC Nice defender will be moving to Lyon this summer.
The 21-year-old has featured regularly for the side from the South Coast as Nice secured an 11th-place finish in Ligue 1.
His performances for OGC have led to speculation linking Amavi with Lyon, but his agent Christophe Mongai refused to dismiss those reports.
He told Get French Football News: "I cannot confirm or deny what you have just said [about Lyon's interest]. Jordan is without a doubt the most talented in France at left-back. In any case, the most promising one. He played 36 league games and scored 4 goals this season.
"Thanks to Claude Puel and the confidence that Nice have had in him, he has progressed enormously in these last few years. He feels very good at the club, and appreciates the confidence they have in him enormously.
"In the market, the left-back position is one which is desired enormously at the moment, and it is obvious that a number of European clubs are following him very closely. After that, I say it again, we need to speak first with Nice with whom he is under contract. It is Nice who will decide what they want to do."
Lyon finished second in the table, behind eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.
