Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed that his club are locked in contract talks with Nabil Fekir.
Fekir will see his current deal expire at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign.
The 25-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool last summer, while Chelsea have since been credited with an interest in the France international.
Aulas, however, has revealed that Fekir is close to penning an extension at the Groupama Stadium.
"We have made some advances in Fekir's contract extension, we are discussing it and soon I'll have to see Nabil, we aren't in the final stages but in any case we have advanced," The Mirror quotes Aulas as saying.
Fekir, who was a part of the France squad that triumphed at the 2018 World Cup, has scored 10 times in 26 appearances for Lyon during the 2018-19 campaign.
In all, the attacker has netted 67 times and registered 42 assists in 180 appearances for Les Gones since stepping into the first team.
