Schalke 04 have signed Lyon midfielder Michel Bastos on an 18-month loan deal.
The German club have the option to buy the 29-year-old Brazilian international at the end of the temporary agreement.
"The talented left-footed Brazilian Michel Bastos has been loaned to Schalke for 18 months," read a statement on Lyon's official website.
Bastos has scored five goals in 13 appearances for Lyon this season.
