Pep Guardiola has revealed that Vincent Kompany is back in training for Manchester City.
The 31-year-old skipper has not featured in the Premier League since the 2-1 win at Bournemouth on August 26 and picked up a calf injury playing for Belgium at the end of the month.
Despite training again on Friday, Kompany is unlikely to be available for Saturday's Premier League trip to Watford, though he could feature against West Bromwich Albion in the EFL Cup.
Guardiola told reporters in his pre-match press conference: "Vinny played today. He came back and trained with us. I think for the next days, he will be able to play again."
It was reported earlier this month that Guardiola was unhappy with Kompany for not asking to be taken off during Belgium's 9-0 victory over minnows Gibraltar in World Cup qualifying.
Since joining Man City in 2008 from Anderlecht, the Belgian has made 316 appearances for the Etihad Stadium club.
