Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has suffered a fresh injury blow after being forced off early during his side's Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid this evening.
The Belgian centre-back has been limited to just 20 starts in all competitions so far this season having struggled with a calf problem throughout the campaign.
He had recently returned to fitness, but lasted less than 10 minutes of his side's semi-final second leg at the Bernabeu before being forced off with what looked like another muscle injury.
Kompany was replaced by Eliaquim Mangala with the score still goalless as City go in search of their first ever Champions League final.
The injury could see Kompany miss the remainder of the season and also casts doubt over his involvement at Euro 2016 this summer.
