Vincent Kompany is expected to miss Manchester City's Champions League fixture against Borussia Monchengladbach next Wednesday through illness, while Yaya Toure picked up a hamstring injury in their 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The City skipper was originally on the bench for the clash with Spurs after recovering from an injury but was taken off the team sheet through illness, shortly before the start of the game.
Toure participated in the heavy defeat at White Hart Lane but pulled up with a hamstring injury and was subbed off not long into the second half, giving Manuel Pellegrini something to think about for his trip to Germany next week.
"Yaya had some problem in his hamstring," Pellegrini told reporters.
"We don't know about the Champions League, we must wait until Monday to decide. We will see what the doctor says [about a scan].
"At the beginning he was fit to be at least on the bench but in the warm up he felt some problems in his calf. It was the calf problem from against Juventus, he has not recovered 100%."
The Ivorian midfielder assisted Kevin de Bruyne for the opening goal in Saturday's match.
