Manchester City have been handed a positive update regarding Aymeric Laporte, after Spain manager Luis Enrique played down the centre-back's injury concern.
Laporte made his ninth appearance for Spain on Sunday after declaring for La Roja in 2020, as he started in their 4-0 victory over Georgia.
The 27-year-old was hauled off at half time in that game, reportedly as a precaution after a suspected adductor injury in the first half.
Such a loss would have forced Manchester City into a change for Saturday's clash with Leicester City, after the French-born defender started back-to-back Premier League games heading into the international break, but according to Manchester Evening News, Spain manager Luis Enrique has played down the concerns.
Enrique confirmed after the game that muscle fatigue was the reason for Laporte's switch, and he expected no further testing on the Manchester City defender ahead of Wednesday's clash with Kosovo.
