Manchester City forward David Silva has been ruled out of Sunday's derby against Manchester United with a knee injury that could see him sidelined for three weeks, according to reports.
The 28-year-old limped off the pitch in the Citizens' 2-0 League Cup defeat to Newcastle United, following a foul by Magpies winger Ryan Taylor in the eighth minute.
The Mirror claims that Silva has had scans done at a private hospital in Manchester, which suggested that he could be out for up to three weeks.
The Spanish playmaker has started all but one of Man City's games this season.
