Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester City on Tuesday, July 14.

The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester City eye possible reinforcements.

The 2018-19 champions did not bring in a single player during the January transfer window, despite suffering a defensive shortage for much of the campaign so far.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.

Tuesday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester City 'to rival Manchester United for Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish'

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to rival Manchester United in the race to sign Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish.

Over the past five months, City have faced a period of uncertainty after being banned from participating in European competitions for two years.

However, after they successfully appealed the punishment, the Premier League outfit are now in a position where they can make significant additions in the summer.

According to The Express, City are ready to make bids for Sancho and Grealish of Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa respectively.

Their clubs could be prepared to cash in on their services in order to balance the books in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

City would face competition from neighbours Manchester United, who have continually been linked with the pair since the turn of the year.

Manchester City 'planning £150m spending spree'

Manchester City are allegedly planning to go on a £150m spending spree after successfully appealing their suspension from European football.

Despite being banned from the Champions League in February, the Premier League giants discovered on Monday that their punishment had been reduced to a fine.

According to The Guardian, Pep Guardiola could now be provided with the freedom to spend significant fees on three new signings.

The report claims that Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba and Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly are the Spaniard's primary targets.

Guardiola is also said to be keen on a new forward, aware that Sergio Aguero may leave on a free transfer in 2021.

City will likely offset the substantial outlay with a number of player sales.
