Sergio Aguero: 'I believe in Manchester City project'

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero insists that he remains very happy at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has insisted that the club are building for long-term success in the right way, while declaring that he is very happy with life at Eastlands.

Aguero has become a firm favourite with City fans since signing from Atletico Madrid in 2011, scoring 51 goals in 95 games.

The Argentine international believes that City have a squad capable of turning new manager Manuel Pellegrini's ideas into a winning formula, while reaffirming his commitment to the club for the long haul.

He told The Guardian: "The club has done things the right way in the last four or five years. Now we have a new manager with a new challenge, we need time to implement his ideas.

"But the club is doing the right thing, it's doing it properly. We're all fighting for the same, which is to make the club the best possible. We are improving every year.

"I'm very happy at City, very happy since the day I came. I knew that the project was good and in my head there is nothing else but Manchester City, so how long I'm going to be at City is just never a question. All I can do is give everything I have for the club and concentrate on achieving for the club."

The 25-year-old returned from injury in Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich and is expected to start against Everton in the Premier League this afternoon.
