Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has insisted that he is working hard to be fit for Saturday's Premier League clash against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
The Argentina international has been absent from City's last seven games due to a hamstring injury.
The striker, who has scored eight goals so far this season, returned to full training this week.
"I do hope I can play in this game," Aguero told the club's official website. "I'm doing everything in my power to get to the match in top condition. It's been a frustrating time.
"Jurgen Klopp has come in [at Liverpool] and he's a great addition to the Premier League. I've stated before that it's a good thing that the best players and managers come to England - it makes it one of the most competitive tournaments in the whole world.
"Klopp did a great job at Dortmund and that secured his spot in the Premier League. I'm sure he'll have the time he needs to adapt. The truth is playing against tougher opponents makes us all better at our jobs."
Meanwhile, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, could return to action against City after spending six weeks on the sidelines.
