Boca Juniors president Jorge Amor Ameal has ruled the Argentina club out of the running to sign Carlos Tevez due to his price tag.
The Primera Division side were reportedly open to signing the controversial Manchester City striker, however the cost has become a stumbling block for the club's president.
"Carlos is deservedly a very important figure here," Ameal told local radio. "But from the economic point it is impossible.
"I did talk to him, and I lent him our support."
The future of the 27-year-old hangs in the balance after he missed training to fly to South America without Man City's permission.
