Manchester City are reportedly prepared to fine Carlos Tevez £1.5m and extend his suspension by one month.
The team hierarchy have leading employment lawyers on the case as the investigation into Carlos Tevez's alleged refusal to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich continues.
City had already suspended the star for one fortnight, but plan to extend that sentence by a month and fine the forward for the entire period.
The 27-year-old is scheduled to give his account of the event to the investigation panel, led by Garry Cook replacement John MacBeath, in the coming days. Tevez's argument is understood to be that he never refused to play; he only refused to prepare to come on.
