Manchester City fans have accepted an invitation from Belgian lawyer Jean-Louis Dupont to get behind his bid to take on UEFA over its Financial Fair Play rules.
Dupont has urged fans to join his fight against what he calls the "anticompetitive" FFP regulations, something chairman of the Manchester City Supports Club Kevin Parker agrees with.
"I think City fans would back this," Parker is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News. "What City did is no different to what United have done over the last couple of transfer windows but the point is it is their money and they should be able to do what they want with it.
"UEFA are making out they are trying to be equal to everyone but automatically we are starting with fewer players [in the Champions League]. How can that be fair?"
City were dealt a £49m fine, had a spending cap enforced on them and were made to submit a reduced Champions League squad for breaching the rules.
