Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has claimed that it is "impossible" to compare him to either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
De Bruyne is currently enjoying the best season of his career, with eight goals and 18 assists coming in 36 appearances in the Premier League and Champions League during the current campaign.
However, De Bruyne has insisted that there are few similarities between himself and the Barcelona and Real Madrid attackers due to occupying different areas of the pitch.
The 26-year-old is quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying: "It is impossible to compare me with them. Our positions are completely different. They are much higher on the pitch and score ten times more than me.
"If I make 10 in a season, they score a hundred. But then I have other tasks on the pitch."
City boss Pep Guardiola has previously suggested that De Bruyne is capable of challenging the pair for the Ballon d'Or.
