Former Manchester City striker Shaun Goater has agreed to coach Macclesfield's under-18 team, the Sky Bet League Two club have announced.
The 48-year-old Bermudan is the latest big name to join the Silkmen's coaching staff since Sol Campbell was named manager in October.
His appointment comes two weeks after former Manchester United player Andrew Cole became a forwards coach at Moss Rose.
Goater, who holds a UEFA A coaching licence, told Macclesfield's website: "I've got a lot of knowledge to offer, so why not?
"We've been talking over the past few months but it wasn't right in terms of different things I had on, now it just feels right.
"I'm excited because I've got good energy and I'm enthusiastic."
Macclesfield were seven points adrift at the bottom of the table when Campbell arrived but they have since claimed 17 points from 12 games and are only two points from safety.
